Jack T Canis lives in South Wales, UK, with his wife and three ND children. He started his professional career as an archaeologist, but through the years has also been a self-employed armourer making mediaeval armours for re-enactors, live role players and museums; an administrator for the NHS; ran a very successful Nanny Recruitment Agency with his wife for three years and has been a qualified person centred counsellor specialising in bereavement and loss, now retired. Currently he is a full-time carer for his youngest child who has Sotos Syndrome and is a part time writer.
He has been published in Potato Soup Journal, Blood Moon Rising, Teleport, ASP, Datura & Sledgehammer magazines among others and is in four anthologies.
He has a number of accolades including most recently as a semi-finalist in the BBNYA 2024 competition for his debut novel, ‘Ordinary World’.
He was once described as: ‘In some ways you are the most broken person I know… Please don’t ever change!’
